A Common Virtue preserves and shares the firsthand experiences of the Marines and Corpsmen of Mike Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, during the Vietnam War.
Through interviews, photographs, maps, and historical research, we preserve the individual human stories behind a shared history — including the stories of those who are no longer here to tell them themselves.
A Common Virtue is a fiscally sponsored project of Veterans Collaborative, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

A Common Virtue records the men who can still tell their stories while working to preserve and reconstruct the stories of those who are no longer here to tell them themselves.
There is a limited amount of time left to capture the stories, memories, and personal experiences of Vietnam veterans. Once these men are gone, the official history will remain, but the personal connections, first-hand context, and lived experiences will be much harder — and in many cases impossible — to recover.
